Hi Gents (and ladies)
I've owned a couple of bimmers before but have recently bought my first E30 (325iS in the obligatory Dolphin Grey).
It's had a fair few owners (I think I'm the 6th or 7th!) but seems to be honest (stacks of history inc. all MOTs), drove nicely, no serious rust, completely original and HPI clear with 110k on the clock.
I paid Ԛ£3.7k for it, seeking to avoid a bidding war. I would have been more comfortable paying less but these are still quite sought after - do you think I've paid too much? I'm planning to keep the car for a bit, as my mileage recently dropped from 20k a year to less than 10k
Either way, I plan to make some tweaks and bring her up to a good standard so I can show my face at the next meet
This place is mine of information and I look forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome to the zone.
Car sounds nice, price you had it for sounds good too, as long as you were happy paying that for it! If I was going to buy another 325i sport, I would rather pay top money for a good one too.

Cheers for the welcome guys
Just drove the car back this afternoon. So far, so fun. I also met one of our members - if you drive a really tasty 318iS, and got out to say hi on the way past parkers piece around five pm, thanks for the flyer
I was happier going for the best I could afford and I plan to bring it up to standard while I have it. I was lucky really - the seller had only had it for a couple of months and was selling up to buy another one in black.
Anyway, first up is to put the wheel on straight, then tidy up the bodywork and repair some light interior trim stuff. Then some subtle "enhancements" ;)
I'll get pics up as soon as possible - believe it or not the GF is hassling me about it just as much!

Not for long

as theres a quarry on the way to work that throws lots of muck on to the road so i can never keep it clean for more than a couple of days

well there are other 325's that can be bought less however if it is as good as you say its and judging by the pics looks pretty good, you know the saying of you pay for what you get, mileage is pretty good as well for the age, there are E30's that go for even more money than that. Enjoy it mate!
