Hi, my e30 325i has a large amount of water on the passenger footwell.

Where do you think it is coming from?

Thank you.

That's the lake of tears it generates every time it loses a race to a Subaru

There is a large rubber grommet behind/underneath the glove box, with wiring looms passing through it into the engine compartment. Check that this is in place properly, the condition of the metal surrounding it, and the condition of the two 6mm studs on the bulkhead that the glovebox hinge bolts to.
If everything here is OK, pull back the carpet, and prod at anything that looks remotely orange with a pointed object.

It is either rain water or a leak from the heater matrix [ check header tank ]

This happened to mine. But to weld this you have to remove the loom.

Oh. I was under the impression that the loom has to be taken out to weld here because the hole that requires welding is the one that passes through the loom into the engine bay.
:?

It can be done without it. I wrapped the loom in a plumbers heat mat.

Who actually cares that your going Prague? Do you not have any real friends to talk to?

You guys really do lead very sad lives. I feel sorry for your parents and your e30's.

Jesus, you feel sorry for our parents? You are trolling the internet. Well done son.

And as for feeling sorry for our e30's, wtf does that even mean?

Barebacking in Prague or P40ing your 325 / stickerbombing an impretzel - I know which I would rather be doing :)

Guys I have had a look under my carpet and the drivers side is moist with a little rust (now a hole after I poked it) any idea where the water might have came from? also do I need to remove the dash to take the carpet out?

Thanks,
