find out the build spec of your car...maybe

I've tried this with my e46 M3 vert and it listed all the individual options on the car, which was pretty cool.

I've tried it with the e30 and its listing mostly the standard equipment, not sure if its because mine had no options and just standard sport stuff, or that the car is too old. It also lists the build date of your car, and other bits.

This is what you do
1> Click http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/homepage/
2> From the BMW Owner Area menu, choose Genuine BMW Parts
3> From the menu on the left had side of the page click Parts Catalogue
4> From the lower part of the screen click Electronic parts catalogue. Find genuine spare parts and accessories for your BMW.
5> Use the username eu111111 and the password bmwetk1
6> Enter the last 7 digits of your VIN number and click >>
7> From the top of the next window, click Options. This displays a new window with the information on extras.

You have to click the + to expand things.
give it a go and let me know how you get on

ps it didnt work on an ipad as the pop up wouldnt work pc laptop only i think

Yeah as I said my e46 was spot on, not to sure about the older e30's.

Additional export tank filling will be a full tank to get it to the dealers from the factory instead of the little dribble of fuel.

Not sure about the AT bit, someone elese might be able to shed some light.

Why on earth would you have an LSD fitted to an automatic?

"additional export tank filling" really was "some fuel in the tank". They left the factory with mere vapours, just to get them on and off the delivery trucks.

So they could drive them on and off the ferries I would think :)

Benhar's link worked for me. Accurate to a point - it states my cabbie had electrically adjustable rear headrests! 8O

the easiest way is usually to get in the car and pull the rear seat base up and read the paper sheet attached to the bottom of it :D

that means it had it when it left the factory, if correct, over 20 years later things might not still be on the cars, best way to check the diff is get underneath it and look at the tag and give it a rub
