Wing Mirrors

Can someone please clarify if the wing mirrors on an E30 M3 are the same as on other models. I have searched high and low on the internet and on here and I cannot find a firm answer either way. I have argued with a mate of mine but we both have different answers.
The Wiki says,
114: Wing mirrors are interchangeable across the entire E30 range.
Yet under the M3 sections it says
Because the E30 M3's shape had to be homologated for racing, all exterior body panels except the hood are unique to this model
So on the one hand they are all the same and on the other they are not. I am now confused.com
Can someone with a better knowledge than me please clarify. Thank you, Paul
