So I finally got round to re-building my rear wheels to give them a 10j dish :D the tyres gave a bit more of a stretch then I expected but I'll leave them for now until I get tired of parking 1 metre away from the kerbs :chuckle: anyway here are some pics

I would sort the rear tyres out as they look wrong.

Other than that they looks awsome.

The fronts are 7.5j and the 10j rears did rub with 225/45 profile tyres so I panicked and fitted the 215/30 profile tyres......but I think I will go to 225/40 profiles as these do look a it too stretched :o:

must say im not a great fan of the stretched euro look...i always wonder how safe the cars are and how badly they must handle.

Ive never driven a car with the stretched tyres so i dont know..

maybe someone who has could let me know

A 225 is still going to be pretty stretchy, I used 235 40 on my 9in style 5s and there was still a hint of stretch.

I've driven a fwd vw shitter with stretched tyres and it wasn't that bad in the dry. Lots of understeer in the wet and a tendency to lock up the wheels when braking. Thankfully they've gone and been replaced with bottletops with no stretch at all.

Dude, instead of keep spunking loads on tyres, get some bottletops and give those wheels to me :D

Stretched tyres on a bm make the handling a lot more sketchy on the rear (more than it already is!) and there's no sidewall 'give' so the ride is harsher and the car somehow feels less settled on the road, also there is more of a tendency to lose traction over obstacles like drain cover lips, uneven road surfaces etc..
In short it's not fantastic, the more stretched the tyre, the worse it is.. I've driven 9j's with 205/215/225 30/35/40 and 45 tyres on (in a variety of diameters) and sadly I have to say bigger is better! There is a happy medium though.. Where you don't get the 'balloon' look and the car still drives nice...

Anyway, enough of that! The vert looks the bo**ocks! :) but, I would have left the spokes silver.. Just my opinion though!

If anyone wants a set of Schnitzer 17" type 1 splits with the CORRECT offset and the CORRECT size tyres to fit their E30 M3, give me a shout :)

225/35 will give you a hint of stretch, but still cover the rims nicely.

Well that's a turn up, however they are nexens and cheap nasty budgets which should not find their way onto any e30 m3

I'm pretty sure it's incorrectly listed on the web site. If you e mail them they'll probably admit they have it wrong

The only companies I found that did them was Nitto ( only in the USA and now NLA )and some nasty Chinese company

Balls.. Ah well! I'm surprised though, it'd be a good size!
And I agree that Nexens on an M3.. Would not be the greatest idea..
