Poly bush rear subframe? or BMW rubber

I have just paid for a rear disc subframe, before I fit it I will totally refurbish it, whats people opinions on the rear bushes with regards to going poly against BMW rubber items? I have poly wishbone bushes and they seem fine don't transmit any more noise.
My Mums E46 has the black poly trailing arms bushes which do seem to knock a bit when hitting a bump, I was going to go for the purple powerflex ones.
Thanks Jonesy

Mixed opinion on here. Some say they're great, others say too stuff, others say what's wrong with OEM rubber, the way BMW intended? The car won't last another 20 years, so you don't need bushes that will.
In my own experience of reading on here, I've only read complaints about harsh rides and failed bushes when talking about poly. I don't remember any threads about that from people who fitted OEM rubber.

it just depends what you're after really, oem bushes are designed to act with the rest of the rear suspension. Powerflex are possibly too stiff for normal road use, I had them on the iS, and as much as it's tight around the corners, it does lack the characteristic BMW feel.
There's nothing wrong with them, but the two compounds are very different & bmw didn't do things that way because they just happened to have that rubber lying around..
kind of an 'if it ain't broke' scenario

Thanks for the replies;) I think i'll go with rubber beam bushes as its cheaper as well, but I have seen some poly trailing arm bushes lurking around in the garage. Already got a poly diff bush fitted. ;)
