Our landlord has just decided he would like to sell our house.
Renting is a pain in the ass sometimes.
Biggest problem is i'm gonna lose my garage and i can't find anywhere in my local area who can rent me some space to store my car.
Is there anyone on the Stroud/Gloucester area who would like to earn some bunce and rent me some space to store my motor for a bit?

You are right mate. Hes well within his rights to sell up as long as he gives us the correct amount of notice. Hes given us three months so its all good.

Would love to but I'd need a time machine to take me back to the days of 95% Mortgages.

Mrlee is full of really useful and constructive comments such as this, perhaps it's the hot weather that goes to his head...
No way of raising a deposit?
How much do you need for a mortgage these days?
Just thinkin' that what you pay out in rent would perhaps cover the repayments....

Unfortunately not. The area we live in is notoriously expensive. I went to a mortgage advisor last week and we are looking at between 25-30 grand deposit.
Problem is i'm also facing a fairly uncertain employment towards the end of the year so a mortgage is probably not the way forward at the moment.

stay with family ? mum / dad.... ive got some mates who moved out and there like 20, i dont see the need for it, esp now with mortgage rates at someting ridiculous, id just try and stay with relatives tbh and just work overtime and try and stack some monies!
im asian so its different culture wise we dont really get turfed out, and you usually move out when the time is right,
you need a step up, its impossible to get on the property ladder without some help, be it moneywise or somewhere to stay temporary so you can start stacking money together,
just try looking around, see if you could lodge possibly?... itl be very cheap and you could save a lot on bills etc, look around for cheaper apartments, my mate used to lodge in a house and the landlord said its fine to use the driveway, so you could try that...
if not just call the council and ask for a garage to rent, its usually £40 a month or so,
dunno about the job front, you could ask you boss about your future with the company and see if he knows anything or can confirm, just tell him your situation and see what he says, then youl know where you stand with income, if he says you might get laid off, probably time to start looking and applying for jobs now, and if possible move into a cheaper area.

Where abouts in gloucester are you? My parents have a house coming up for rent in Yate with decent size driveway?
How long would you need the car stored for? We do have a garage we rent out in a really quiet culdesack but I think its rented at the moment.

Hi Mate. We are in the Stroud area. So actually living in Yate wouldn't be much good for us. However I'm not fussed where the car is as long as its relatively close and safe.
Let me know if it becomes available at any point.

What sort of budget do you have in mind?
Not sure if this is of interest to you but I do know of some secure and dry barn space, it was a little out of my budget but a joint venture could be good, plenty of room for more than 2 cars, if you don't mind sharing. Located in Painswick, so only 2 miles away.
