Replacement front wings: too cheap to be any good..?

After a bit of an argument with a 40 ton truck, my E30 is in need of a new front wing:

I figured I might as well do them both as they are a bit rusty, and my dad told me about some pattern wings on nicedeals.co.uk for £29.99:

Has anyone had experience of these, or could recommend some pattern wings that aren't too crummy?

I'm guessing that since they are titled as "without hole" that they are the early ones without holes for the indicators.
If i was you i'd try sourcing a rust free second hand wing, if you don't have any success then try a pattern wings, genuine new BMW wings are only "approved" parts any way and you can tell them apart from the original E30 wings.

Would wings for earlier models fit a later one? I'd be tempted to go without side repeaters for the money, or to cut my own holes! I will try source some originals, as I also need a front valance

They would fit but due to the MOT regs you'd still need to find a way of fitting side repeaters.

I had a friend try and fit pattern wings to his e30 and it was a no go. They wouldn't line up..... I too would go for 2nd rot free or BMW wings

Its a common colour. There must be someone breaking an alpine saloon somewhere.
Speak to Adit. He may have some.

Euro car parts do pattern wings for about £30, they're ok but don't fit as well as genuine ones obviously

After my accident I put a pattern passenger wing on myn as I needed the car on the road...load of shyt.
Did not line up at all and left a gap near the grill, but recently I bought one of ebay, from a shop called bmwspareshop really good contact, I got a genuine one for less than the pattern part no rust incl delivery, and did a test fit and lines up near enough 100%. Don't waste your time on pattern parts.
Quality = Poor.

Just find a good second hand one in the correct colour, will be much cheaper in the long run if you dont have to paint them.

His postage is not bad either and most of his products for sale are near enough 99% not broken, very reliable.

Cheers for all the helpful info, I will check this guy out on eBay and will most likely be putting a wanted ad on here for the other bits I need to repair the damage. Tbh I thought the prices of pattern parts were a but too cheap to be good quality
