I have been a big fan of Total bmw and performance bmw for a while now, also this site and the www.planete30.co.uk
The point im trying to get to is:-
Everywhere I look I see E30 cars with the reg ending
FRD
LRD
HRD
ARD
I dont know where RD originates but it seems most E30's have this! You will all prove me wrong but just take a look back in your bmw mag's!!

Cars with registrations ending RD were registered in Reading, this would explain the popularity of the reg's.
I have also noticed that reg's ending CD are common on BMW's and Porsches, my M3 ends CD, and so did my old sport, reg's ending CD are also from London.

My sport is F-MGD which is glasgow. Henry brothers dealer. It's now 400 or so miles from there in Bracknell now!
My old 318is and new 325SE have lived their whole life in my area where near the dealers they came from new!

Yes all of my bm's and other cars come from around my area, strange but I only buy minter's with the original bill of sale!! The furthest any of the cars I bought, was from Leeds, bloody miles and miles from me but when I got there........to my shock and horror the car had been bought new from my local bmw garage and had been fully serviced there until about four months before I bought it!! The other's I have bought have been local and kept local and serviced local!! Every bmw I have owed has had a FSH from bmw!!

I started the topic, so I dont mind if you go off a little bit!! Yes you are right though.......with older cars, its the condition now not the paperwork but on that note.....if it has good paperwork it SHOULD be in good condition!

My E30s have all been F reg with 2 numbers
F88 PGS 320i touring zinnobar
F69 SWP 320i 2 door zinnobar
F50 UVW 320i 2 door zinnobar.
I was in Tescos filling up the car the other night, some guy in bright yellow golf MK4 GTi was taking a picture of the back of my car. I spoke to the guy who was laughing and reckoned the plate was funny "F*** U VW"
