Show me: Expensive iS ad's

I had a nice iS once upon a time:
It was tidy as you like.
Not a spot of rust on it!
Over first 6 months I spent >£2k making it MINT
A shiny new exhaust
An E46 'rack conversion.
Trick suspension with new bushes all round and H&R anti roll bars
I loved that car.
And all was well in our world....
.....Until this morning. When this Jag:
Did this
To my poor defenceless car
I was turning right off the major road, into a minor road, whilst I was doing that he pulled out of said minor road turning right and smashed into my drivers side rear quarter panel
He span me 180 degrees and left me facing the way I came.
He was pulling out from where the Fiesta is sat in the photo
He hit me with such force it pushed the back of the car around, leaving these marks on the road
He's admitted fault and I have all his details at least, but now I'm looking for expensive iS's to prove the value of mine

I've already spoken with 318iSPMK who's hooking me up with his old ad.
Apart from the panel damage its got some serious camber and toe out - something in the suspension is broken, and the wheel has completely failed too
Let the fight with the insurance company begin!
So links to stunning iS's and cheap iS shells would both be appreciated!

Contact E30beemerlad ASAP.
He earns his daily crust extracting the maximum possible £££ from cases like this.
At a guess, the rear beam mount on the o/s is displaced/bent,it's possibly repairable if you can find a sypathetic bodyman.

I'm hoping the beam mount is ok, that area and the sill look ok... or at least less smashed up than the rest

If that's the case then it
may be repairable

I'm not sure tbh, its with the insurance assessors now, so we'll see what they say in the next 24-48 hours.
Whatever the outcome it'll be coming back to me, either repaired (Unlikely) or smashed up to be repaired, re-shelled or broken for spares....

Cheap? I was thinking sub £1k

Then transfer all the good bits onto the new shell....
The point with Pauls ad is it was advertised at top dollar, in great condition, which is exactly what I need to show the insurance companies to get the most back for my car

awww, that is really sad. Hope you're OK and you get satisfaction from the insurance. In your position I'd be gutted but keep up the fight. The insurance companies really do have double standards, one for the sheep who just accept what they are told and another for people who know and stick up for their rights.
Best of luck dude, and do speak to E30beemerlad if you can get him.

what a shame. it's good that the Jag driver has admitted fault (initially). are you sure that your right front indicator was working?

I went through rage and upset very quickly, within a couple of hours I'd accepted it'll be written off and I'm getting on with looking for replacements
adit wrote:what a shame. it's good that the Jag driver has

It was still on after I'd switched the car off, so it must have been stuck on constantly for that journey

But in all seriousness I am quite anal about making sure I'm indicating at the appropriate points, and get very angry with people who don't! (I've been know to indicate right, then cancel and indicate left as I leave mini roundabouts!)
The update from the insurance assessor at the garage is: £2k bill to repair, and he said he was being "optimisitic" in his accounting, only replacing the trailing arm and hub etc rather than all of the suspension. He's noted in his report it was mint, which was nice of him

It probably helped that I went to meet him yesterday and talked him through the work that'd gone into the car. He promised to send me a full cost breakdown, but that hasn't materialised yet.
I've not heard what the outcome of the report, the insurers claim not to have seen it. I shall hassle them some more tomorrow.
The good news is my new daily transport is arriving Monday - proper hire car lottery this but I was promised something of "equal prestige and engine capacity"

I predict an Astra or similar

If you are going through a third party claims management company then its likely you will get a BMW.
Someone reversed into my E30 and cracked my grills and scratched my bumper, the guy wanted to go through insurance so i used the above and i was lined up to have an E90 320i M sport but the guy changed his mind and we had a cash settlement in the end so i cancelled the car.

Elephant seem to have passed the claim onto Albany Assistance (Because its a non-fault claim) and they have contacted HelpHire to sort a car.... So who knows. I also need to work out which company has the final say in the repair/cat C/D and valuation debate. I think its Elephant but I'm not certain....

On the way to work at Warwick Uni, just coming out of Balsall Common at about 7.30. By 11 it was at a garage in Accocks Green with the assessors and I was on my way home on the train - properly efficient

Albany assistance; make sure you take out the policies for both any danage to the hire car, and also for indemnity against hire car charges if the Jag driver decides to be an arse. Respond quickly to every letter they send.
