There's a good reason it's "different": Thankfully not many other people are that stupid!

Where i live someone chopped up a touring with a mtec 2 kit on it & made a better looking pick-up - sort of the bmw version of a p100

agree with the others. its been ruined by chopping it. no point in restoring that, not only will it be a stupid financial decision but it will lookk crap, no matter how good the finish.

What about the couple of M3 ones floating about? My painter after doing my car has been talking about a pickup E30 with a outrageous kit like the Rieger modified or something. This could be just what he needs. Yes it does need a lot of work, but it helps if you're in the crash repair and painting trade. I've already sent him the link and i hope he buys it cause i'd love to help him bling it, then we'll see what you all think

Finally, someone that can see the original side of this strange car. It doesnt even look like its been done to be blinged, it looks like this one was made for actual use as a pick up at some point in its life so the majority of the conversion ground work should still be there and good. Hope your mate bootyman will take it! I just think its a rarety that should be saved, even if its not a standard e30!

I hope he takes it too. He used to fit the body for TVR before setting up his own business so something like this should cost him next to nothing to fix up with his skills. He also knows half the Universe so getting parts will be easy for him. He just needs someone like me to give him ideas on what he should be putting on and what he should leave alone for the Chaves

I am too old for project cars now, money helps too and I am poor!
BMW Pickup's can be rather cook, certainly different
Getting carried away now!

It's certainly not for the shy is it. He wants a massive kit, even more massive wheels and a pimp paint on his. He can do it too cause like i said, he's in the trade so wont cost him as much as you and i. We'll see if he serious or just chatting crap soon enough i guess

look at that e28
don't know what i think about that!

haha, I can see one BIg flaw in the flat bed. its going to be VERY light at the rear end, bet on an e30, the flatbed conversion is IMPOSSIBLE to control, especially that M3 one! on the other hand I guess you can stack loads of weight in the flat bed to overcome that.
Still, at the end of the day, different and lets hope it sees a huge kit like Bootymans car as it would make a VERY interesting and different show car, even if it might not be a personal taste - you have to appreciate the different!

Toby... that E28 mutant has some good bits on it though... BBS's and clear front indicators would look sweet on someone's E28...

its going to be VERY light at the rear end,
