e30 towbar with so sayplug and play wiring harness

I bought an e30 towbar off of here, can't remember the guys name, its got the removeable towball, and the wiring harness that you can plug in.
So before I drill the hole throught the rear of the car and feed the cable in I plugged it in to make sure it all works, so i've figured out the plugs that go to the lights on the car, great! I've got indicators but no brake lights, or side lights...
The trailer board works bar one brake light when rigged up to my dads land rover discovery.
There are two white connectors on this new wiring harness with some length on the cable but no where on my loom (and i've ripped the back seat out aswell) can I find the other end that looks like they should just plug in...
any help or advice would be much appreciated
