Hello folks,

Under the front bumper is the bit below a spoiler and if so can it be replaced with a solid looking one I dont like the bit that is shaped in.... Jeeesus fook can someone please translate this from retard please.

I have decided to use the wonders of Windows paint to help.

Image

Can the Yellow bit be replaced? is it a lip?

That lip is standard to the 318iS though, one of the difference to normal non kitted cars. I'd be leaving it on :) You can get a smaller lip about 1" but it's not as nice.

I've got Phases. Phase 1 is to get all the Technical stuff online; I've got the Wipers and Locks to do yet. Phase 2 is Servicing; all the How To articles. Phase 3 is History; all the other models, BMW history, different versions and trivia etc.

I might give up before Phase 3 - that's the bit I'm not looking forward to. But I want to at least finish Phase 1.

the front spoiler would look better if the bumper and side rubbing strips were black. at the moment it's kind of red overload.

the IS front lips look good black too, stops them being so obvious but does give a deeper meaner look.

I agree.... sometimes it came like that I very nearly bought all the black bits but I've pooped out of it a couple of times I kinda like it the way it is

i said that to him when he 1st posted with the car, it just looks tacky and plasticky, like a bad tech 2 wanabe or something, but then with tech 1 skirts, its just a bodge up , a few bits of black trim would make all the difference

I know I was sad enough to use Windows Paint and paint all the trim so I could get an idea what it looks like but I keep backing out I like it the way it is now too.

Im not really an officionado YET

the bumper and door mouldings/bump strips black looks so much nicer, the pure red only suits a tech 2 car/kit, windows paint ? its not a life/death situation, a few nuts and bolts and an hour or 2s work and thats it and can easily be changed back and the bits needed wont even cost penuts- bumper trim, door mouldings, chrome kidney, and ditch the eye brows

a really nice condition black/red e30 looks super

Image

this one with skirts and blacked grill is like how yours would look, the black lines go so much nicer with the black window trim and gives a much nicer look and balance
Image

Image

this picture, is all you need, stunning and a quality looking bmw and would make your car much much nicer and more valuable/desirable

That is stunning! Someone offer me that whole kit....

Ive watched someone say dont worry it just clips off and on 'crack, crack' they broke the bumper trim... so Im scared of thinking it will be easy and I break the painted bits on mine then Im gubbed.
