Replace wishbones or just balljoints?

Sorry for keep going on about this, but I'm going to be pulling apart my front and rear suspension this weekend to fit new springs and I've been doing some research on what else is worth changing whilst I have everything off.
Wishbones - replace the full thing (about £40/side from GSF) or just the bushes?
Anything else worth doing?

It's worth getting the lemforder ones as they are the oe quality. May as well replace the whole arm, by the time the old balljoints are removed and new ones pressed in, the cost will not be far off what a whole new arm would have cost.

Lemforder wishbones being picked up this afternoon from ECP - £48.95 + VAT each, plus M3 lollipop bushes from dealer - £47 a pair. New front top mounts and bump stops front and rear already obtained - another £125. On top of the Eibach springs at £173, this is turning into a major expense!! I just hope I can do it all myself to avoid any garage bills on top.

Interesting, did you manage to get a discount with ECP to get the lemforder wishbones at that price?

I don't know, it's just that i'm looking to buy some lemforder wishbones myself, and on the ECP website they are roughly £75.
I've been trying to find a cheaper set, to no avail though.

They did have cheaper non-Lemforder ones for £28+VAT per side but the Lemforder ones came to £48+VAT per side. I think someone on here can get a discount from ECP, but I don't know how that works.

Or if you order online with click & collect you need to apply the discount code "service25" for 25% off

if your're not desparate for them its free delivery - no point asking your local ECP if they'd have to order it in for you anyway - might as well just order it and get it delivered to your door.
Either that or get meatballs82 to sort you out

That does seem the ideal option, however i'd really like to pay by cash or paypal rather than paying by card.
Cheers

The prices will be lower because the website inflates the prices, thats why theres always 25% discount.

Ring your local and ask them to order in what you need. Once they have it in stock they'll update the system and you can then ¨click and collect¨.
I've just done this. It was a wishbone too.

There's also this site, which is ECP without the silly inflated prices, then discounted DSF style 'sale'.
Under no circumstances fit the cheaper options from GSF, Eurocarparts or wherever - you'll just be doing the job again in a very short time. These cheap parts are aimed at back street garages and dealers to make a quick profitable fix, and then sell on.
Meatballs is the manager of a ECP branch, and offers discounts to zone members as an operation independant of his employers. I've just had a quote from him, and can confirm it's well worth the email!

He meant E30zone. Drop Meatballs82 a line and he should be able to get you a good deal.

Be careful with the 'for coupe/cab' because their springs state the same but shouldnt ,cause the weight differs.

It was more the price of the shocks, just replaced my springs about 60 miles ago. But the price of the shocks is tempting.
