are the fog lights the same on all these? im after m3 fogs but should be able to use them from another car... thoughts?

You can use the pre facelift light's on your M3 but the brackets are different iirc.

is that the same for the E21? because i think i could find them more often and cheaper

Are E21 parts easier to come across then?

not realy lol but iv stubled on some fog lights in the past and they were cheaper than e30 or m3. just dont know if they are the same size

E21's don't have foglights from the factory IIRC, not in the valance anyway ...

E30 prefacelift fogs are the same as Mk 3 Fiesta XR2i units if that's any help.

Believe it or not a bloke in a petrol station told me.... I bought a pair of XR2i lights off him and they are indeed identical to the ones I removed from my 86 "cuatro-puertas mierda" (but in significantly better condition).

are those called fog lights and driving lights on the XR2 then, because they are diffrent lenses aren't they?

If you look closely at the XR2 it seems to have two types of lights amonst the 4 across the bottom I don't know which ones I have bought.

But I can assure you 100% that the ones I bought off this chap are visually identical in every way, including lenses, I suppose the profile of the reflector could be slightly different but it certainly looks the same.
Of course, what I can't vouch for is that he actually got them off a Fiesta, but why would he have lied about something like that?

Lets see what the verdict is then, these are the lights that my man in Repsol told me were from a Fiesta XR2i, looks like the outer set to me (currently not fitted pending a light front end tidy up but have been fitted to check):

Those look like driving lights, not fogs. Look at the lense.

the fiesta has long range lights and fog lights. not sure wich one is wich though

Ok, looking again, the vertical ribbing on the lense looks less "dense" than on my old fogs (I put that down to these being clean TBH).

But yes, they are offset and fit exactly as the originals, I'll be using them anyhow because they were very cheap ! (Starting to sound like Jim )

ok heres another question then, what cars share the same fog lights as the XR2i then?

just buy some E30 foglights FFS !!!

i have a pair thats rusty and cracked... you can have them for postage costs...
