Strange finding on the touring.

Reversing out in a tight spot, I put my rear window wipers on. Noticed I pressed the rear wash wipe by accedent but nothing came out, had a check why and there was no washer jet. Did BMW put all the washer bottle and electrics in only not to put a bit of pipe and a washer jet in?

Wondering now if I take the clock out there'll be wires for an OBC :D Not holding my breath though!

The jet is at the base of the wiper arm, they usually block up..

All touring should have been fitted with working rear wash wipe.

You might also find that the pipe where it runs near the boot hinge will have spilt due to bad design or you have no water in the bottle.

Lift the plastic cap that covers the wiper arm securing bolt and you'll see the jet.

Ah perfect, I see it, very weird design thought it would be under the boot spoiler. Looks like the metal screw that goes into the cap is full of muck. Thanks everyone.

a lot of people remove it to prevent the incar shower effect that a split pipe gives.

I removed mine, it's a pathetic dribble at best.

I removed the whole lot in mine, wiper motor, pipe, wiper arm and replaced with a bung which is sealed in place

I quite fancy the idea of removing the whole lot as well for that clean look, but I don't think I could get by without the wiper.

Same here, just unwanted weight anyway.
