hi, my heaters have stopped working on my m3, any suggestions to what it maybe

Where are you located?
It can be a number of causes, its best that its looked at by a professional that would not over specify whats actually needed to be done because they have no diagnostic skills.

First question is: Do you mean heater or heater fan? They are completely different things.

People know its the heaters in the car.
What people are asking is:
- are the interior heater fans working?
- is there any hot air coming into the cabin?

interior heater fans wont work. will not de-mist. when you turn the speed of the heaters up you can feel a very very very tiny bit of air, however not enough to de mist or keep u warm

That's the fan then, and nothing to do with the HEATer. Without this info., this thread would have gone off on an irrelevant tangent.
Do the electric door mirrors work?

In that case, the fan motor has probably seized after twenty years without maintenance, possibly blowing fuse 20 as well.
Usually recoverable if the motor is removed and serviced.
