I averaged about 25mpg in my 318i auto on a 300 mile round trip the other day, and most of it was motorway driving 8O

I use to average 30mpg in my manual 318is all day long

and 325i was around 18-22 mpg

:D

Usually 30 litres/£40 returns 210-230 miles, mostly motorway with some around town

works out about 19mpg with unleaded at 137.99p

Could be right, is it an auto? and is that town driving or hard driving ?

Am I right in thinking........

1 gallon = 4.5l
1 L cost = 1.39
1 gal cost = 1.39 x 4.5 = £6.225

My round mileage from my house to university and back again = 18 miles

20 MPG = (18/20) x £6.225 = £5.60 cost to travel to uni
25 MPG = (18/25) x £6.225 = £4.48 cost to travel to uni
30 MPG = (18/30) x £6.225 = £3.74 cost to travel to uni
35 MPG = (18/35) x £6.225 = £3.18 cost to travel to uni

So it's going to cost around about those figures above to travel to and from uni which is a 18 mile round trip.

Fook....if I have a 325 which does around 20mpg its cheaper and is around an 4 times quicker to travel to uni than on the bus?!
