"performance" panel and cone filters are a well documented complete waste of money on an E30.
Buy good quality paper filters and replace regularly - best filtration and power.

panel filters have proven dyno gains they have been posted on here, and you will notice a sharper throttle response. I prefer itg but k+n are fine too.

Can you find them, because the only proof I've ever seen on here is that there is NO gain, which is why the Wiki states this:
http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/inde ... 26N_Filter
If you can dig out the dyno results that say otherwise, I'll happily modify the Wiki to accommodate them.

i can't be bothered to find them but a guy a couple of years ago tested k+n and normal and a cone and found small gains in both bhp and torque. I have had these cars since the mid nineties and always fitted a performance filter and always found them to be more responsive.

In letting through more air they filter it less meaning more crap going through the engine! OEM filter is the way!
