Hey folks I am looking for a new set of tyres to stick on the Alpina replicas on my e30 cabrio but I was wandering if there is a particular model that works well on the e30

Also currently the tyres are 205/40/17 - I noticed that the inside rim of the alloy was showing so would it be okay to go for 215/45/17 for a wider track and thicker tyre wall so it takes bumps better... the car has koni springs and shocks so its been lowered around 25mm f n b

any help would be massivly appreciated.

im using 215/40/17 , im on a 30mm drop, i wouldnt go with the 45 profile it changes the rolling radius, as for make, its down to your buget

I had 215/45 17s on my reps and being lowered 60 mm the tyre rubbed on the front wing..

I changed to 215/40 17 and never had any issue

IMO, the 215/40 looks better than 205/40 as the 205 give the rim a bit of poke and it looks as if the tyre is too small or the incorrect size.

215/40/17 are what they should be running on

But i got mine running on 195/40/17 with a suttle stretch
