Folks, anyone used this seller? I've ordered a gear knob from them £20.50 for my iS. Seems cheap for brand new item? Is there a catch? Seller rating seems good but odd that he has so many in stock?

No offence mate but i would imagine this is a fake mtec item and so that's probably why he has so many in stock? Looks like a decent enough item tho

The one in the Ebay ad is like gold dust to get from the dealers, there was a thread on it a few weeks back.

The M emblem/insert is right for an OE iS and it looks right to me on the photo, and the manufacturor is quoted as 'BMW'.

I'll see what turns up and report back. If it's the real deal and brand new for that price I'll be very pleased.

Bought one of those replica ones on ebay last year. Quality was absolute s**t, and the knob was too small :gay:
Just sent it back for a refund and bought a propper weighted one for an e46 msport from bmw. Quality is spot on and is much nicer to use.
Also the bmw one is made from hard rubber with leather covering whereas the ebay one is from hard plastic and you can tell as soon as you pick it up.

Folks

I have to report that the boloromo part was not OEM; it was fair quality but ultimately it didn't fit anyway, so I'm sending it back.

You get what you pay for, worth a punt I suppose but lesson learned: should have mailed the vendor first with some Qs.
