Most recommend the eibach pro spring kit to go with the billies. The billies seem to be harder to get a hold of these days as ECP are no longer the distributor.
Boge Turbos are supposed to be a good alternative and pretty sure GSF stock them.
Never done it myself just going on other posts. There are litterally hundreds of posts in the techhelp section covering the topic.

Try motorsport world, if your getting all 4 corners, and springs at the same time they may give you discount!

Cheers bud, will get on the case, I've always had bilsteins on my e30's, just not quite sure on spring choices, the rear of my cab is pretty low as it is, so didn't want to lower it to much, and the front is ridiculously high so needs lowering more, maybe 60 at the front, 40 at the back? Thanks, Stat

I'm going to be dropping my cab and I'm also going for Eibach. Apparently they are the softest of the dropped springs and perfect for cab cruising.

-40 at the back is pretty low. The cab in my sig pic had -60 front and -40 rear on it when the picture was taken and it was almost undrivable.
I now have -30 all round and it rides much better and can even tackle speed bumps now.

Nice one popey, will give them a shout and glad you mentioned that Rtaylor, 40 at the back would probably be to much, so 30 all round seems to be the best idea so far, the front of my car looks like it needs a bit more then that, looks like it could go0 off road now! Maybe 40 at the front, just to be safe, cheers guys, Stat

Staty, its worth mentioning that my cab has tech 1 front and rear bumpers which are lower than standard bumpers. With the -40 drop there was next to no arch clearence and the front bumper was about 1 to 2 inches off the ground. if you have standard bumpers you will have more clearence. Watch the sump though as it will be pretty low.

it's the one on my cab. Made a massive difference from the 60/40 shite it was previously on! Let us know how you get on.

I've got an MTech 1 kit on my cab, and i'm glad i didn't go as low as -40mm.
When i replaced the suspension I used standard boge dampers with sach -20mm springs.
Its a cab and i want to cruise in comfort, you don't want to make the scuttle shake any worse, not that its bad !
The best thing you can do is fit a set of Eibach ARB's,
They make a tremendous difference. The cab sits pretty flat round bends.

would the new shocks and 30mil springs cure the problem of the front sitting higher? or is that a different problem, my cab sits about right on the rear but is way too high on the front all on standard springs and shocks

I bought my springs from the following people - great service.
http://www.potn.co.uk/
The shocks came from ECP, but I've read some threads on here that are suggesting they don't supply them anymore? I'm sure someone will come along and advise a new source.

OI OI! In reference to our previous chats, i've just strapped myself up and purchased some billy ball bags B4'S for my cabby "I was suppose to be staying in and not spending money" daaam you internet, just looking for some Eibach springs now. Anyone else have any more spring advice, these do seem to be what a lot of cabby drivers are suggesting. What i'll do is wack some pictures up before and after to to show anyone who's thinking of lowering there's what it looks like. Baaaaaaaaaaam

Looking at Motorsport world they've got a couple of spring sets which are 35 front and 00 rear (Weitec and KW).
Has anyone used any of these before - my Cab is low enough at the rear but the front's quite high. Not sure if lowering just the front would make me feel like I'm looking down all the time!
Aside from that a drop in line with the standard MTEC kit would feel about right for me - any recommendations for where to get the sachs springs or are there any alternatives for this kind of drop?

Seems like you're in the exact same predicament as myself Jas, the rear of my cab is low enough, i'd say could do with lowering a tiny bit and the front is well high, so i'm hoping this Eibach pro kit will sort it out. It states 30 at the rear and 30-40 at the front, however i'm worried that won't be low enough at the front and it will still look like a some kind of tractor? If anyone has some pictures that they can add so i can see what my cabby will sit like with certain springs on that would be great. Cheers, Stat

oi oi, i got the Bilsteins from
www.motorsportworld.co.uk got a good deal, i've also just ordered some Eibach springs from there to, bargain £173.25 including vat and postage, they've got an offer at the moment on them.
Also Blitz, is that with the 30-40 front and 30 rear? If so looks spot on for what i want mine to look like. I don't want it over the top low, so looking forward to get them on my little money pit of an e30.
I think i'm actually addicted to my car.
Cheers, Stat

Once you've got the suspension done, the next step to really make the car handle well,
is a set of Eibach Anti Roll Bars, front and back. The fronts have a 3 way adjustment,
you'll be amazed at the difference they make,
and as you're adicted to your car, whats another 250 quid!

Anti roll bars? Not really read up on them much bud, will look in to it, cheers though. Got a few things that are taking priority, cam belts being done asap, then rear quarter, rear spoiler and kick plate are being resprayed "tiny bit of rust" hopefully before that my hard top comes so i can get that sprayed at the same time. Royal blue, lovely colour if i do say so myself, the 2nd e30 in this colour i've had. Yours looks lovely, don't think i'll be going for the m-tech 1 kit though, think i may just leave it as it is.

Bilsteins and Eibach springs have been fitted this afternoon, looking good, will test it out on the way home and try and get a snap to show to, hopefully they would've settled down by then. It's looking pretty low at the moment, so hopefully they don't go much lower

Car sits exactly how i wanted it to, not to low, not to high, perfect, only managed to take it round one round-about on the way home, but feels very solid, but doesn't feel as rigid as most other lowered non e30 cars i've been in, would definitely recommend this set up for anyone looking to upgrade their cabbys suspension!! Will wash and polish at the weekend and wack some pics up as hardly anyone on here as seen my e30. Thanks for all the previous advice guys
