I suppose so fuzzy, i'm scottish born though, we're tight arses haha.

I really wouldn't mind the tech2 door pods and the upper bumper sections... I think it'd go really well mixed and matched with the breyton kit

Standard spoiler is black rubber. The ones in question here are a fair bit larger, and are plastic, finished in body colour.

i see. thought so, which is why this comment on that ebay listing confused me

"STILL IN BLACK RUBBER FINISH"

So the pic. isn't of the actual item, and it's "black rubber finish". Hmmm?

i bet he got a standard one, searched google for touring spoiler, saw what looked like his rubber one and thought "ohhh tech 1 spoiler"

Tech II touring spoilers came in both the unpainted rubber and colour coded paint finish.

I take it BMW have stopped producing these then? Does anyone know if there are aftermarket replica`s of these? If not, how hard would it be to find one, make a mould and re-produce under a different name/brand? Just asking as whenever I find one its snapped up before I can blink or it`s priced outta my range :(

i sold a whole tech 2 kit for a touring inc the spolier for about £600 iirc, i was having offers in excess of £220 just for the spolier alone.

Very pricey and sort after bit of kit

I'm not so sure the M-tech spoiler is plastic, they are made of a very rubbery material, very flexible. They are a pain to handle once painted, very easy to crack the paint.

The one I sold was already painted so could not really tell what it was made of but it was extremely heavy so think it may have been solid rubber.

Think you must loose 10 bhp when fitting one of these it was that heavy lol

The one I have is firmly attached to the back of my Tech 2 Laguna green touring, and has been there since the car left the factory.
All I know for sure about what it's made of, is that it's much less flexible than a standard touring 'spoiler', and that it is painted Laguna green with no defects in the paint finish. If it's rubber, it's a much harder rubber than the smaller one.

Anyone have a pic of the fixings or know how these fix to the car. I've got one but i don't think its fitted right.

Haven't managed to remove it yet as i'm scared of breaking it.

Spoiler should be fitted with Sikaflex 255 - a polyurethane adhesive in three 15cm lengths, and at a temperature of 20 degrees minimum.

If it's still held with original clips and you try to remove it I can almost gaurantee they will break.

It's definitely not original as the old bus didn't come with m-tech tupperware from new.

Given how some other bits of the kit were fitted i would guess it's probably tiger seal'd on there.
