i had a letter from dvla yesterday saying i have not taxed the car. so i dont think that the bloke that had the car from me has sent the log book off saying that they are the new owners

It was a guy called Ivor Biggen, he's very well known in banger racing and always drives E30's
I think i may have his number if you want it?

You need to look at the piece of the V5 you tore off and kept with his details on it.
You know he little slip that you then send of to the dvla yourself.
I do have a funny feeling you did not do this though

Stevie, did you send off the log book yourself or did the guy you sold it to said he would? All you need to do is inform the DVLA that you sold the car a few months ago, you can tell them the log book was sent off at the time. This will usually get you out of any fine they're trying to pin on you.

Ivor didn't put his name on the V5- a guy called Hugh Phellforit did that.

Stevie, ring the DVLA and tell them you no longer own the vehicle... No point in trying to contact someone to ask them to send it on.
