E30 Zone

Well its booked in tommorow. hopefully all goes well but i think it will end up failing on something. Just had to spend 3 hours earlyer tring to get my sidelight working. turned out the wire had broke somewhere on the loom to the bulb and it had a bad earth some how. was bloody working fine a few weeks ago to. oh well lets just hope it a no bad story tommoz.

me too! mine goes up on the ramp tomorrow. had a bloody nightmare with ALL the bulbs. had a dipped beam out, side light out, and as for the rear that was looking like the final scene in close encounters of the 3rd kind. the pins had loads of corrosion on and theyre a right bugger to clean up, especially the internal pins. all good now though!

RESULT JUST IN... FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only failed on 6 things this time.

1. Offside headlamp insecure. (Was in the exact state now as it was last year when it passed.)

2. Offside front steering rack gaiter split. ( Bloody replaced both last year for the mot.)

3. N,S,F brake hose insufficent room to move, resulting on fouling on any part.

4. O,S,F jacking point excessively corroded.

5. N,S,F headlamp aim not tested (well aye obviously)

6. Exhaust emissions too hight. ( just had the front silencer replaced too. hmm.)


Advisory list.

1. Front power steering component (s) has slight seapage from a seal. (From what i know is idont even have power steering wtf??)

2N,S,F shock absorber has a light misting of oil. (Brand new only a few months ago.)

3. N,S,R brake pipe slightly corroded

4 Steering system has slight free play detected at steering wheel.

5 & 6 (Trackrod) Drag link end ball joint has slight play. (replaced last year for mot)

7. engine oil leak.

passed! got an advisory on front wishbone bushes showing their age and rear subframe bushes also showing their age. will get them sorted when i get another day

by the time i have everything sorted on this thing itll be time for another mot
