Whats the spec of the strada abarth as it wasn't hanging around

Strada has the good old 2.0 twin cam lump in it circa 135bhp on twin 40's (tuned easy to 175bhp)
was running on colway F2 road legal slicks (excellent tyres)
i was lucky and the owner james let me have two sessions driving the car
Got to say it was the best handling FWD hatch i ever driven and went pretty well was holding off mike in his 535 on the straights upto 80mph then he started to gain but over a whole lap the strada was quicker (mainly due to the tyres)
Never got a ride out i mikes 535 this time as he had the missus with him but it was going really well deffo surprises a few people

My old Red E30 was minus a Sunroof, but it did start life as a bottom of the lug 316i

Whats the sort of weight saving u get anyway without it?

Sunroofed cars probably get that back when they rust! I remember opening the roof of my old 316i and the dammn thing sprinked rust onto my head!

I would imagine it's getting on for upwards of 10kg for an electric one. Plus that fact that it's high up, so hurts the centre of gravity.

I think it's a very slight structural strength increase which is one of the advantages, and why the Milltek Sport boys want non-sunroof cars.
I want to remove the sunroof on the Civic and rivet a plate there, I shall weigh the mechanism, cradle, and motor and see what it weighs.
It's all fitted at the highest point in the car so it's doing my centre of gravity no good either, maybe I should just slump down in the seat too!

I spent ages looking for a 325i sans sunroof a couple of years back to strip and take to the ring
Gave up in the end
