Drumming up some interest....

Hi guys..

well, its time to begin to look for a new car, which means the E30 will be up for sale. I am not really sure how much interest this car will generate, a sensible price to put it up for, and if there is a market for it at the moment...

Hence this post, i know there has been hundreds of "whats my car worth" threads, so, this is another, but its also for my own benefit to see if there is anyone that is interested in the purchase of the vehicle.

So, the car, its a 1988 325i SE. Black, (not diamond black) and before i bought it it was owned by paul325i (a moderator on the zone) and before him it was a old guy who had fitted his own very tasty go faster stripes and it sat on 14" steels, so its led a nice happy and well serviced and mainted life.

I bought the car back in 2004, due to work commitments i need something a bit better on fuel, which, is a shame as i love this car. Below is a spec:

Engine
M20 2.5i
zone chip
Boysen backbox
Sparco strutbrace

Suspension
-40mm with 60mm dampers
E46 M3 cab rear shock mounts
all bushes replaced - not really a 'mod' i know, but makes for a very comfortable and tight ride.

Brakes
Standard 325i discs and pads

Wheels & Tyres
BBS X-spokes with pirelli p600 tyres

Exterior
Standard SE with is lip spoiler
German style number plates (private plate, normal plates are UK spec)
Clear indicators

Interior
E-Tech 330mm black steeringwheel
Full sport black leather
OBC

ICE
JBL rear speakers

Since i have had the car the following has been replaced:
Cambelt
both track control arms and 'lollypop' bushes
steering coupling rubber
serviced 3 times (7k intervals give or take)
Brand new boysen backbox
Brand new middle box
Gearbox and diff oil replaced
Wheels and tyres electrically alinged after new track control arms (with print out)
New battery

thats just the start of the parts that have been replaced, i'm sure Paul will be happy to add the long list of things he replaced when he had it. Some being:

had a new AFM on it, had the injectors cleaned at about 95k

Underneath there is no rust - its solid. Is going to be undersealed and all the arches will be cleaned out in the next 2-3 weeks so shes ready for winter. As most E30's on here its washed and polished weekly. I do a 30mile round trip to work everyday and then out and about for work during the day, never missed a beat...well, once when i washed it and she froze

FSH all it's life, load of old MOT's all receipts for everything, and have a big old folder full up with receipts which i can glady take a picture of for anyone interested...

Below are a few pictures, i have probably missed out loads, so feel free to point anything out....

This is very close to a" for sale" advert in the wrong section!
Don't sell it - LPG it.
=9p/mile, or less if you can buy your LPG somewhere there's a bit of competition

Yeah close to a for sale ad there Dan but good idea to get some input on what it's worth.

I can vouch for this car having owned it, several people have seen it at meets and commented on the condition. It really is a very mint example.

Sure dan can throw in some snaps of himself for the ladies too

What's it worth then?

This car is just a beautiful exmaple of an SE.

I wish I had chosen something like this to do my Alpina reshell.
