Different fuel question!

I know there has been a few questions about fuel consumption lately, and I got another one...hoping it different?

My cab telling me I aint got much fuel left, yet I only done 175 miles since filling it up [about Ԛ£45 worth]. On my last full tank I got 260 miles, which I was well pleased with. My computer saying 24 miles til Im done, so from this tank I'm only gonna get 200!!! 60 miles difference is to big right?

I've also never seen my fuel light come on. I guess there must be something wrong with it - or the needle will sit at the empty spot for a long time before the light will work?

My cab an auto 325 by the way.

Then readouts on these cars tend to be a bit strange at times...

Mine will do 100+ miles when it get to the red.

Best thing to do it reset your trip counter every time you fill up and judge it from that

Have come across plenty of people who think their low fuel light doesn't work, but have never come across one that actually doesn't work.

There are two fuel level senders in the tank. One could be stuck.
Low fuel light is independant of both.

You're not alone there buddy. When i drive my car round town i get about 180 miles to a full tank and it goes up to about 200, 210 miles on the M-way. I thought there was something wrong with my car at 1st. This is going by the counter. I always reset everytime i fill up :(

I get about 200 miles from a full tank around town and on the long run i can get as much as 300miles from a tank
so i think it all varies across the range and i squite different from car to car, as my cars a auto

Not even close, that's only about 50 litres.
Tank holds 62, so you had another 30 miles or so before the light comes on. Have faith! The light will work.

I drive my car about with the light permanently on it seems! Difference between in town and motorway driving to fuel consuption is about 40% at times in my 320 cab.
