springs!

Hi was fitting my new shock absorbers and springs today. I was told that the springs i had were standard springs for the sport (as they came with the car when i bought it). the back springs pushed in with a little bit of a struggle but the front just seamed way to large for the strut. tried the spring compressors on it many times in different ways. i've had a look about shops for other springs but there all like 30mm lowering springs + and all i was it as standard to the mtech setup as possible without the large cost from bmw.
I'm not sure if this is making sence as i'm kinda tired and frustrated. The springs that were on the car gave me to much rear camber than i wanted and the fronts rubbed the arch.

Also on the sites it says. car will be lowered 10-15mm less if fitted with mtech setup. does this mean since i have the shorter mtech type shocks if i put 30mm springs on it the car would be 30mm-15mm=15mm+20mm(standard mtech height i think)= 35mm low?

M-tec springs will lower just a subtle -15mm.Like this;

You do need long spring compressers for the front springs,I bought a cheap set and had to go back for the longer,more expensive set!

I asume by 'sport shocks' you mean Borge gas inserts?

I have no experience of Bilstien dampers,but I read that a shorter one is available for those who insist on a huge 'drop'....

Not really the best idea, totally messes up handling and makes an awful drive.

you do know a set of cheap lowering springs can be bought for as little as £30
