I bet this one's been asked a thousand times before. But what have you got and when do you drive it.

Cabbie's taxed and in daily use April-October....
Touring is taxed all the year, but covers less miles when the cabbie's in use.

The Toyota Starlet failed it's MoT bigstyle on underside bodyrot that I was unable to weld to satify the MoT man,so it's on the way to cheap toaster land!
I may be looking to replace it at the end of cabbie time...(Toyota wieghed in at a very satisfactory £118.40!)

Your Escort is a 1.3 Laser with some clover leaf alloys, XR3 spoilers and interior, NOT an XR3.

They didn't even make XR3's in 1986!

Thats like me saying my Sport is an Alpina C2 2.7 because it has the spoilers and wheels.

 its a re shell project from a 1982 i owned for some 17 years that rotted away in the garage, stripped bare, re shelling in to a 1986 1.3 laser shell, which yes your right the non inj xr3 was not made in 1986- but to get on the road i wasnt fussed about that, and the engine was left 1.3 for time being as it was my 1st ever car on the road, once its finished it will bean xr3, not logbook but hey ho a fully original never been welded mint shell is good enough for me
