E30 Zone

ive owned this car for 5 years. but ive never needed to plug a sat Nav in. so ive never needed it.

but for sum reason its not working.

does any1 know anything on this. or is some1 local enough to come n sort it out. lol

I have the same problem on what looks like the same car.

my lighter socket doesnt work either :/

Fuse number 28 i think.
Some times they just need the contacts cleaning a bit or prongs on the sides dont make a good contact.

my cab one dont work i will have a look at the prongs

the spades on the fuse were corroded, works now

didnt even think to check that, saw the fuse wasnt blown so thought nothing of it

mine doesn't work either and when i change fuse 28 it just pops it straight away

Might sound daft but is there any crap inside the lighter socket?
Does it do it when lighter not in?

The fuse is ok. But i poppee the ashtray out to look at the wiring. It looks like two randon wires are joined together with some tape. Which doesnt look to promising

Ok it was fuse 28 all along. Which was missing. Put a fuse in it and its all working like how it should be

At lease you won get lost now lol

You might notice another improvement as well - like windows that work with the ignition off and a door open.
What sort of radio aerial do you have?

my radio aerial has been taken off and smoothed off. i May try the windows dwn up & down with the ignition off.
