E30 ownership couldn't get any better today! NOW WITH PICS!

Just had to share this with you all, I have had the interior of my cabby part restored/part re-leathered. Its BMW's 'natur' colour and was looking so sorry for itself it was pitiful.
I contacted a local guy who happened to be part of the 'furniture clinic', when he received the seats etc I think he was a bit shocked to say the least (I could tell by the look on his face).
What has resulted is nothing short of miraculous. The quality of the re-leathering is stunning, the restoration on the rest of the leather is perfect and the magic this guy (keith at canvey Island) has worked on the door cards and rear panels is beyond belief if you had seen the state of them.
Oh, and the smell of real leather when you open the doors is just out of this world.
Well worth the pennies, maybe not cheap to some but still well under the cost of a poor re-trim without the door cards!
Got it all fitted last night and coupled with the royal blue metallic paint it does look the nuts......and the best bit, it sailed through its MOT today. I will get some pics up tomorrow as the light is going now.
Does it get any better than this, I think not.
Just thought I would share my pleasure :D

Thanks guys, I've been planning this for ages now. I totally recommend having a makeover in the leather department, funds permitting of course, it is such an uplift to the whole E30 experience.

Good question, but let me ask, how much would you be willing to part with? In fact more figures the better just to make me feel better, or worse! winkeye

i have no idea, and we cant see before/after of the door cards etc, but id be happy paying a few hundred, how many hundreds would depend on the amount of "re trim" leather/amount of restored/re painted leather ?

got a leather interior in my discovery with cracking front seats, and seen the paint kits you can get which i need to try , as they show good before/after results from pics, how good or not remains to be seen

I cant see paint lasting very long on leather to be honest thats how chips away repair fag burns in leather and to be honest i dont think its a good idea there is no replacement for fresh leather
