How hard is it to change the sump Pan? pit's pissing oil out,
It look's like a bi*** to do, any tip's?

i think he owns a 320.
not a nice job,i paid my local garage £40 to replace the full sump om my m42 worth every penny and saved loads of chew on.

It isnt a nice job but is possible with the engine in.
You will need to lift the engine up slightly to get the sump off .

Thanks Guy's, it's a 1986 320 but now sporting a 2.3 m20 with a 285 cat cam.

Horrible job any way yu takle it lowering the subframe will make it a lot easier though

Jack and large wooden block under the sump, remove nuts from both ends of engine mount rubbers, remove the top radiator bracket (so that the radiator can be lifted up by the fan), and carefully jack the engine up as far as it will go, checking all the time that nothing is getting trapped or under excess strain. Find some wooden blocks and packing pieces, wedge them in under the engine mounting arms, remove the jack, and then remove the sump.
