320 scrapper

Hi,
A 320 came in to the local scrap yard.
Has the gearbox got closer ratios than my 318 box? I read that the 325 sport close ratio box was a 320 box.
Any info would be great.

you don't want to put a 6-pot box in a 4-pot car,you change the diff for a 4.27 if you want better acceleration.

320i box has same 1st and 2nd gear ratio's as a 325i sport.

a sport box comes alive in third when 1st and 2nd gear have got it moving

I'll leave it where it is then!!
Got a tech 1 steering wheel and rear spoiler and vented front brakes off it, so not a wasted journey!!
