i remember seeing a blue convertible in a film with Goldie Hawn and Mel Gibson, where the rear window got shot and the glass went everywhere

there's an old 5 series ashton kutcher drives in his new film "No Strings Attached" and i'm 95% i seen a Mauritius Blue e30 cab in it too.

Death Warrant on ITV 4 right now starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. Theres a very pretty girl driving an E30 convertible I think the wife of Van Damme.

Its very nice of you all to tell me about all these films with E30s but that wasn't the point of the post.I found this site with 20 odd pages of E30s in films and just thought you could all have a look.

The film "Taken" has a couple more door chromies, worth watching (good film, not because of the cars lol)

The episode of Only Fools and Horses when Dell falls through the bar (I think) Cassandra has an E30 323i, I didn't see it there!

just watched Bullet Boy http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0385568/ and there is red e30 parked near estate , and in Dead Man Running 1:12 - 1:13 , there is bus nr.2 and e30 cabrio passing by .
