Lad round the corner from me is running BMW mini 15" steels banded out to 8j front and 9j rear on his E30. Rears fit perfectly fronts need a spacer of around 10-15mm. It looks really good, I'll drop him a Pm and see if he's got any photos.

Since seeing them I'm on the hunt for suitable steelies to get banded up.

ah cheers man, that'll be cool, apparently theres a guy up the road from me that can do them for about £250 quid, just requires 8 steelies and a week to do it in.

Just want to see some different colours and sizes so i can make my mind up on them.

Have a look through this thread gents, £220 gets 4 wheels banded  http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... c&t=190052

In the thread he states he turns out the centre bores slightly on the mini wheels but other sites put the centre bore the same as the E30.

15" steelies banded out look the absolute nutts

I've tried putting mini wheels on - the bores need to be made larger

I
would guess they are 15", possibly G60 steels, at least 9" on the back.

Looks great alright, but likely undriveable - 80mm springs or coilovers?

Looks good, Do the steels weight a huge amount more after they have been banded?

Here's a pic of my touring (as mentioned by charle30 earlier - sent you a PM mate) , it now has slightly bigger profile tires to close the arch gap, also got some 10mm and 20mm spacers to play with on the front. Will update my thread soon because loads has been done since the last update.

Personally don't think banded steelies look great on Bmw's. More of the vdub scene along with the rat look.
