Both items were put in a parts wash, steam cleaned(inside and out),thourghly wire brush cleaned(this took the longest amount of time in the process),steamed again,pre-paint prepped(twice),2 coats of etch primer and 3 coats of wrinkle finish. Then heated in an oven i made up because they wouldnt fit in my house oven! :P

Ribs and BMW logos sanded after baking using various grades of wet and dry.
The only things i masked were hose connections/studs/intake holes/injecter seatings etc.The whole process took a while to complete as i work some stupid hours, but well worth the graft in the end imho.

Again,thankyou for the comments 8)

Its well worth it imho.Im very much an oem bufty :o: but, dare i say it,i think this look, looks more oem than BMWs original!
Its one of the few things, thats not as it came from the factory,on my car.
