How do i find out the original dealer of my car?

Send an email to Cotswold with the VIN number and ask them nicely

If you're on original plates isn't there a way of finding out based on the last 3 letters? I'm struggling to find the site though!

many E30's still have the dealers sticker on the under side of the boot lid or if you have the service book it will be on the inside cover.

My touring has a sticker in the driver's door shut.
I've got the handbook pack as well.

Mine comes up as Vines of Guildford BMW. Is this 100%? Seems pretty logical.

Mind it would seem was first registered in Reading, but unfortunately as I don't come from round those parts I don't what the local dealers were called in 1987.

Anybody have any idea of the dealers names local to Reading?

Its now Coopers,but when your car was new it was Coombes of Guildford.
