Cost for new windscreen?

The windscreen on my touring has seen better days and I'm trying to get everything up together prior to the MOT.
I'd previously contacted Auto Windscreens for the price of a blue top tint windscreen and was told £202.00 including fitting, or £146.00 for a standard windscreen.
What with Auto Windscreens going into receivership yesterday, I contacted AutoGlass for a quote. I was advised £372.55 for a blue top tint screen and £270.00 for a standard windscreen
Whilst I appreciate the cheaper price with Auto Windscreens may have been part of their downfall, is the Autoglass price of £372.55 really what I should be paying, or can somebody reccomend me an alterantive supplier please?
Thanks
Andy

Only £50 or £60 insurance excess if you have comprehensive insurance cover.

You could just order up a windscreen and get someone local to fit it.
They're not difficult to fit

they've gone broke, and are not trading at the moment but maybe the liquidators will give you some discount ?
any way, i'm sure the main dealers are not expensive.

i had one fitted last year via this, also now got a chip in mine that was repaired , but insurance runs out in a few weeks
but the autoglass branded screen, i found to be not very good quality, seems to have issues when its night+rain , i have a feeling the chip will become a crack in the next few days and im going to get another one fitted before insurance runs out
im wondering...what screen should i insist on ? no way i want one of them same ones , should i tell them i was unhappy with it, or just insist on a genuine bmw one ? or what was factory standard ? is it gen bmw or is it sekurit or something ?

Thanks for the responses everyone.
AndyP - great price & great offer, but as my touring is silver I've really set my heart on a blue top tint. Thanks anyway.
Adi - thanks for looking. Must text you my next list of parts!
Polsta - I'm waiting for a price for a genuine screen from Baron's in Hindhead. I'll pm you when I get it. Maybe your insurance company will let you use them?
I've made a few more calls this afternoon and a company called National Windscreens have quoted me £145.00 fitted for a blue top tint screen.
I'm going to do a bit more research and will post my findings up.

I paid £105 for a blue top tint for my Alpine white Touring in Oct last year from a supplier in Essex, it's a nice screen but not sure of the quailty compared to a proper BMW one.

I guess a top tint will be harder to find but we pay £20-30 for a standard one and fitting is 10mins with a simple tool and a bit of washing up liquid.....

razor - cheers mate, pm me , im not sure if they do let you use anyone else, il check, but when last one was fitted think i had to go through their screen hotline, that pouts you through to autoglass only
when he took the other one out, the screen had small splits in the bottom corners, he sealed them up but said really you want a new seal at some point, as it was early summer it was a while before i encountered heavy rain to notice the poor quality of the screen , a joke really , then the chip , so gonna get a new screen seal from adit friday and ring them up , im going to insist on a better proper quality screen
i did notice its £60 per claim, not per glass , my rear screen although perfect, gets a ghost image of a dealer sticker that was in it once, when misty , thats a sekurit glass, so i am contemplating that getting cracked too and replaced , should i ?
