Noooooo! This was common during the 80's when colour matching was rifr. Remember all the capris with white grilles and wiper arms??? Hideous!

Imo you need the black bits to break up the white a bit, I also have a white e30 (my avater <) and I would not do it

Get new bumper strips instead for a real transformation.

And lose the yellow lamps.

Don't paint any of it white, will look tacky imo, as ratch said fresh plastic would look very nice, I don't agree with him on the head lights though ;)

How about having the black rub strips on the sides removed completely?

You can't do that when you have black going around the front and back bumpers :?, only my opinion mind :)

The strips are there to protect the car from car park door's etc so if you had it painted, someone knocked in to the strip the black would show up. winkeye

i voted No

personaly i think it would look odd! but at the end of the day its your car mate only you can decide

if you want to try and see maybe get another set of strips and spray em white, if it looks shit then you still have the black ones to put back on :D

You can see why people do it - they want the TECH 2 / M3 look but it's wrong wrong wrong on standard trim.

absolutely right Dan.
i've never understood the colour-coded skirts/bootlid spoiler, lip, etc on white cars. black window surrounds, bumper trims, rubbing strips, grilles, skirts, lip and boot spoiler FTW:

(any excuse for the picture - i miss her really :( )

She's very very nice dan 8)

That's the look I'm after! I'm already in the process of painting my back valance all white, need SE side skirts and tech 1 boot spoiler. I was going for a white iS lip on the front, although I do have a question for you now after seing that!...
Is that a tech 2 front valance with the normal front bumper over the top?? 8)

It is indeed, best of both worlds

Nice, what happened to her mate? She's beautiful 8), the exact look I was after. At the moment I have a heck spoiler but this is painted black until I find a black tech 1 :)

Colour coded bumper strips look awful imo. Adi I feel for you, I've seen your old e30 pop up in a few threads followed by a depressing comment :teehee: But, I think colour coded boot spoiler and skirts looks smarter than black. Although Adi's old e30 does look very cool :(
