Does the 318iS have an LSD?

Hi guys
I'm in the process of selling my iS and I've been asked if it has an LSD.
Did the iS come with the LSD as standard or was it optional?

I think it was optional. Look at the diff from the rear and you will see a metal tag about an inch long on one of the bolts. An S at the start of the code - probably S4.10 XXXX- idicates it is an LSD

Optional, not many have them.
Can you see on the right hand rear side of the diff, there is a little metal tag. If you can read what is on that is should tell you the ratio of the diff, probably 4.1:1, if is has an "S" at the beginning of the number then it should be a LSD

These methods only work if the tag exists or is legible. Alternatively, safely jack up the rear with both wheels off the ground, out of gear and handbrake off. Manually spin one rear wheel. With an LSD, both wheels will spin in the same direction, with an open diff they'll counter rotate.
