Chromie is for polishing and looking at. :D The touring is for fixing... And work, once its fixed. The cab is for the summer, when my insurance isnt so much for it. :?

I bought my sport when I was 18 to piss my mates off cos they had Uno turbos/Fiat 127 GT's/Fiesta Supersports/Rs Turbos etc......

Used as my daily for years and I retired it in 2002, it's made a comeback in 2009 and it gets used occasionally.

The M3 gets used for posing :o:

The touring gets used for the mundane jobs, like the pub run :D

My E30 is for wet /cold / snowy days when I can't or don't want to use the motorbike, and to keep me busy at the weekends !

Soon to start taking the "classic thing" more seriously though and go to a few Series 3 club gatherings.

Daily drive, whatever the weather. :)

Would love to have it as a pampered garage tart but no garage...well at least no useable garage.

Daily driver to work, to mates, to pub and later this year to france :D
It's my weekend hobby spending most my days off underneath or inside it tinkering 8)

Total rolling project but try to keep it looking roadworthy and respectable still

One touring daily driver, to work and back rain or shine. And one soon to be two door daily driver... no garage queens here, just one garage-bound project

325i Touring. It does all the local journeys, commuting and thrashing. E46 for motorways, Jeep for snow/offroad.

I got my e30 so I could go through the pains and joys of e30 ownership

I use it 2 days a week to go to campus and pottering around. I only do 3000-4000 miles a year so I can get away with using it as and when. All said and done I have put my money where my mouth is to stop it going to the weigh bridge in the sky.

Mine did everything in all weathers, holidays, schools run, shopping, days out, works "van" the lot there is very little it hasn't done or indeed towed, she has now,as of last Friday been retired to occasional fun use. The missus has her Audi,I now have a Transit.
It has been fantastic and has done 105,000 miles of carting us all about in the very nearly 10 years i've had taking her up 265,000 miles.
I can now look forward to the sound of the six after spending my week days driving about with an oiler, will probably remind me of why I like it so much.
I've never had a weekend "fun" car :D

Both my red iS and sterling 325i touring are dailies.
Depending on the weather I use them as company cars.
When its hot, i use the iS as the aircon works.

Customers always comment favorably and a good conversation piece too.

My sport was my company car! But this has now been demoted to weekend car and use when the 540 is in the hospital, so essentially it is still my main use car cause that bloody 540 never lasts a week between things going wrong!

I've owned 2 e30's before but after having a 3 year gap I had to come back :). My favourite car of all time, the way they sound, look, feel to drive, get nice comments and even nice gestures from random people ect ect. My last 2 I hung the arse end out everywhere, absolutly loved it..... This 1 I..... Umm still do lol but not as much as this "classic status" is starting to hit home. She's been in my garage for a while now, 24v project, but only exhaust, 2 tyres and tax needed and she will be out! Also didn't want to bring her out in the snow and grit, next year I will buy a £2-300 snow car and rest my baby :)

I have seen 1970's escorts still on the road and this is my plan, if people can do it with a 30 odd year old ford I can do it with the best..... My 1989 BMW E30

My two E30's have very different roles to play. Notice i did,nt use the word Job.

My Touring is to convey my fishing gear to and from the waterside, whilst
at the same time giving me some degree of motoring enjoyment.

My Cabby is to satisfy my delusions of Granduer and to single me out from
the general sheep like motoring public, who are quite content to drive souless
Euro boxes that they are incapeable/unwilling to carry out even the slightest mechancal
work on. It satisfies my desire for fresh air and is powerful enough to meet my
need for any spirited driving, whilst being reasonably inexspensive to maintain and run.

If it any time either fail to meet these criteria, then i shall move on.

Just to add, today was a rest day for me and i had every
intention of giving the Cab a thorough clean, however, with
a lovely blue sky and copious amounts of sunshine, for the first
time in months, we instead spent several enjoyable hours
blatting about the country roads of Northamptonshire.

The spring cleaning can wait. :D :D :D

What!? There are so many of you in Leighton Buzzard? I've only EVER seen 2 E30s in my time here, one grey touring and one red cabby with a 2.7 badge and I never saw them again... I think it's time for a local meet!
