i always pictured it as a kind of level mellow place

My car was covered in the stuff, It's the first time i've seen it in 3 weeks (the car, not frost). Had to jump start it and noticed the mirrors steaming

someone correct me if i'm wrong but if you have heated mirrors then you probably also have heated locks and washers. all the cars i have broken have had.

My mirrors are heated and are listed on the spec sheet. It doesn't mention anything about heated locks or washers, and I wouldn't know about the latter two, as it is garaged over the winter, so doesn't get the exposure where these two options would be noticed.

How would I tell if the locks and washers are heated, nickso?

A car with heated washers will have wires alongside the washer tubes going up the bonnet hinges.

I know I have heated washers, not sure about locks.

i hve x2 pass side heated locks [Back plates] for some reason,i do believe bmw built some cars with what was available.

i've had a standard L reg touring with a real black grill that had heated screen jets without any loom to make them work

If you get the original build sheet for the car from the dealers I think they call it the "Winter Pack" which includes heated mirrors, drivers door lock and washers.

Also, no heated passenger locks.

Was bloody freezing in A'dam when I was there the other day! Not that I noticed it too badly

My build sheet lists option '314 heated mirrors + door lock' just been to check and its got heated washers as well.

the e30 heated mirrors are superb, they warm enough to steam off condensation and mist, not just frost

my e36 ones are either rubbish or broken, i have the wires attached to the glass, but if they do work theyre a million miles from the ones on the e30!
