Mine had a clifford concept g5,fully alarmed and immobilised.

Still got stolen and apparently it was driven away.

As I've posted on here many times before, a simple hidden or unmarked switch, short circuiting the fuel pump supply is going to be far more effective than any of these 'whistles and bells' aftermarket alarm/immobilisers. Unless they are connected directly into the ECU circuitry (and I haven't come across one that is yet), they are EXTREMELY easy to defeat.

How do you know it was driven away? You were on holiday IIRC. It could just as easily have been lifted.

Have you passed on the info you had about the theft of yours to the other owners? It might be helpful.

Sorry to hear about the loss of this rare car. Difficult to ring up though, and high value in bits unfortunately. Hope you get it back.

I know because a neighbour on the next block saw the thief's working on the wiring around the corner from where it was parked.

Yes I have spoken to Nikhil, have given him every possibility where his car could be.

this is quite daunting. it seems these thefts are all related, all in the london area, all cabs, surely someone on here knows or has heard something, i really feel like selling mine after reading all of this.

I don't think I could sleep if I left that M3 parked on the road overnight.

I'm from London, so will keep a eye out.

Keep a keen eye on ebay for any parts that look familiar.

Sorry, to hear you news mate, will post on s14.net. Another M3 cab was recently stolen in Australia.

A friend of mine recently had newish Maserati, stolen off his drive way. They drilled thru front door lock and took keys. Car was fitted with tracker, police found car and gave chase on A3. Car hits tree end of friend's pride and joy but atleast scum bag now behind bars.

If the M3 convertible that was stolen in Australia was a misano red one with Hartge wheels, the thief done the owner a big favour and I am sure not too many tears are being wept.....
