HID kits - Where to buy from direct? Not Ebay.

Chaps,
I'm after HID kits for both my daily E30 and the girlfriends E46 Compact.
Where is best to buy these kits from? I'd rather buy direct from a company rather than Ebay in case of any problems further down the line.
www.hids-direct.co.uk ?
www.hids4u.co.uk ?

Steer clear of HID direct. They simply could not supply the correct holders for my e39 (and it still ain't right after 6 months) and already I've had to drive about with one H7 bulb and one HID as the ballast popped after 4 months. They are a nightmare to deal with after market. Tardy, lack of coms etc.
Look elsewhere if my experience is anything to go by!

i looked into this a while ago and concluded that the 'reputable' places probably sold exactly the same kits as the cheap hongkong ebay sellers, and were just as likely to vanish into thin air.
buy cheap buy twice? maybe, but when the cheap is less than half the price then you may aswell!

Brought my last set through ebay at around £40 deliveried and they lasted over 5 years with plenty of use, I've now upgraded to the 55w HID variant

again from ebay.
I'd put money on you getting the same kit in different packaging from the UK suppliers but will pay twice as much.
Which ever way you go it's one of the best mods going for an E30 (without retrofiting different projectors

)

+1
the ebay kits are so cheap that you if you're worried about something breaking you may as well just buy two sets.

I bought a set of 35w 4300k HID's for my old E46 (sorry) from here:
http://www.rclick.co.uk/product_info.ph ... cts_id=812
They were a good product and delivered the next day.
My touring is currently fitted with a £35 set from fleabay which work perfectly and I've had no problems since fitting, even in the cold weather

+1 for HIDS4U...!
Bought 3 kits from these guys so far - when I had a problem with one of the ballasts on my E30, they replaced that without any fuss at all.
Fast dispatch, good price, easy to install and great support after.
Cheers,

A mate of mine bought a set for a new focus from autotronics, they looked really good quality and have been fitted for a year and have given no troubles.

got mine from HIDS4U spot on dan! only thing that bugs me with hids on the e30 (well mine at least lol) is that you cant really have the side lights on anymore as they either flash like crazy! or if you disconnect the resistor in the ns inner wing as suggested in other threads, the side lights work but brings the check light on (unless ive done something wrong lol)
but like i say hids4u spot on for me, ive had a cheap set as well in the past which kept draining the battery for some reason?? but that was a few years back tbh
