E30 Zone

Ages ago, I bought myself a set of eyebrow grills off ebay Ԛ—a what I didnÔš't spot from the (bad) photo was that they wee a kind of metallic purple Ԛ—a they looked black. Now Ԛ—a as nobody wants to buy the best 325 out there off me Ԛ—a IÔš'm going to get around to fitting them, so I need to spray them first.

So off I trotted to HalfraudÔš's last night Ԛ“We have the biggest range of matched colours ANYWHERE!Ԛâ€a shrieked the sign at me in Day-GloԚ… as long as you're not looking for anything that has been used on any car available in the British Isles 1947 Ԛ—a 2005, and DEFINITELY not for E30 Beemers. At least thatÔš's what I think it said.

They have one called, from memory, BMW Cosmos Black Metallic Ԛ—a now I think mine is called Diamondschwartz? Is this the same Ԛ—a or close enough for eyebrows only Ԛ—a under the same name, dÔš'you think, or significantly different?

Am I going to have to go to the $tealer? Do they even SELL spray cans?

Hi,the colour code for diamond black met. is 181.You won't be able to buy it in an aerosol,at least not to my knowledge.I had a quarter litre of paint mixed for touching up stonechips etc.If i were you id get a painter to spray your eyebrows,maybe if you have any other paintwork to do on the car you could do the lot together and save money.

Cosmos black is much darker than diamond black.

Halfrauds can mix the diamond black in an aerosol for you, costs Ԛ£8 i think.

Or take a trip down to another motor factors that does 'Tetrosyl' paint (I think that's what it's called, yellow aerosol!) they do a diamond black that is 95% match to yours, will be good for the eyebrows. This paint costs about Ԛ£5 from my factor. Called Black 05 on the tin.

Alternatively take a trip to the dealer, they will do a colour base and lacquer for about Ԛ£8, usually have to order it in though...

And i was workin nights last nite,finished at 6 this morn,im kinda fcuked now but i think i have the strength to surf the zone for another half hour.

the eyebrows will look better if painted a matt black - its a good opportunity to redo the front grills too when your doing it.

myself, richy and dominitry all used holts mat black - Ԛ£3 a tin.

OK... I did actually think of that first, then somebody on here said Na na na mate, it's GOT to match the car...

Would be a perfect opportunity to spray the kidneys too then wouldn't it!
