9J Front wheels

I've always had in in my head that 9J's on the front where to wide.
Am I right in thinking this? Would they be more likely to tramline and aquaplane? Grip wise i'm sure it's an improvement. What sort of arch work is required?

They would probably rub. Heavy steering as well I guess.

9j on the front is fine, no arch work needed either unless you're running large profile tyres.

Large profile as in what size? I've 215 & 225's both 40 profile on the wheels (although they wont last to long once I get the new engine put in :p).

I think my BBS' do the same, also with 205/55/15. The 16's with I think 205/40 are fine though.

I would say it would be ok in that case mate, so long as there is a bit of gap between the tyre and the arch it should be fine.

Never knew you had 9's Baz, not until the post above. She's looking very nice!
Coincidently, another Baz got me thinking about keeping the 9's. He's also running 9J Borbet B's all round. I'll just have to shove them under her before taking her of the road to see what it's like.

had all the work done on my touring last week fella no one had seen it untill it went to pod
have some really good feedback on it, couple of guys wanted to buy it, it will be fine dude get some and stop fannying about......
how low is your touring jozi ? i`m on coilovers and i`v had it slammed and they still dont catch very nasty ride that low tho.

I already have a set of 9J borbet B's

Waiting to get the work done to her before putting them on.
Test fitted the rears, lots of clearance, didn't get trying the fronts. I've got 40mm eibach touring springs as far as I know, if I can keep the job going I'll be splashing out on some coilovers as well.
I got offered a silver 320 touring as a swap for my 7.5 Borbet B's. I would have dismissed them previously but yours looks sweet from the 1 pic above.

If someone came with the right money then it would go but untill then i`m keeping it, my touring is in better condition then most sports out there and to find a rote/rust free sport your looking at spending lots of doller which i dont have, anyway i think this is more fun.

I'm running 9J all round with a small stretch (215/40 IIRC) on a set of Azev's with no problems..... Also bought a set of Borbet B's to go on my bro's E36 evo for the time being until I get my hands on something.
Having a nightmare trying to get hold of the centres. I knew it would be hard but this really is rocking horse poo.
Any ideas?

Hi hows it going ? A streched tyre can never hold the road like a normal tyre. my car looked very good on 9j rims all round but would never do it again.
