might be a "rare" to have on a car as an extra when it was brand new, but a few ppl have them, and you can pick them up still and put it in yourself

Have a set for my iS. I thought they were an aftermarket job at first but there is BMW part numbers and stamped all over them 8)

Are electric pop outs not a mod done using E34 parts hence the BM part numbers?

Try popping (ha ha) them into OEM and seeing what models they are spec'd on.

I'm pretty sure they were on a 5 series?

Surely rear pop outs would be on a coupe rather than a saloon with wind down windows

It's E46 gubbings you use for the mod.

No I understand what you're getting at but I had got it stuck in my head  that they're off a 5 series and not a 3.

A quick google seems to suggest E46 models are the favoured source of canibalized motors etc.

i am intersted in this also as i only usually want to open up the pop-outs when on a motor way which gets a bit dangerous.

where does the switch go?

Alex was right about the electric blind at the pod. Someone made a name your price offer but didn't get it :D

Would be interested in electric pop-outs too. Seem to remember a yellow modded E30 being broken on here earlier these year but it didn't use factory parts

Could you tell me where you can get them from? Or are they all 2nd hand? I have one but a part on it has broken and I'm after a replacement part.

Renault Megan mk1’s have electric rear pop outs and the mechanism is a lot smaller and simpler than that found on E36's E46's so may be easier to retro fit to an e30, that’s if you can use E30 rear window switches with the set up and if you dare fit French parts to an BMW though.
