Hey guys,
i have to admit that ive neglected cleaning my car the past few weeks since ive owned it as ive been too busy. But it got me thinking, how much effort do you guys put into cleaning your car? Do you give it a full detail or do you just use a sponge, shampoo and abit of wax?

i use mine quite a bit so theres no point me detailing cause it wont last five minutes, i just give it a proper wash, polish and wax every couple of week. i make sure i give the arches a good scrub out to

I wash mine every week or other week... Wash, polish, then wax. Interior gets hoovered too usually but i'm currently using it for work too... And im a messy painter and decorater so its always a mess...
I have booked friday off work though so I can start cleaning her up for Santa pod on sunday. got 2 days to clean her gooooood. Everything exterior is coming off so it can all be cleaned up. Shame the paint job isnt freat as it would be looking mint!

Don't clean my 325i at all as only had it a few weeks and have started restoring it! But I do have a mint E34 535i, this is spotless! wash with auto glym shampoo, leather, autoglym super resin polish to get all the fine scratches out then high definition wax (£25 a pot!) use Meguiars trim detailer for the wheel arches, wheels polished (front and back), this is before I've even started on the engine! , took it to the BMW show at Harewood House in June to show her off.
Couldn't do this with an everyday car, though. The E34 has done 18 miles in the last 3 months!!

my car looks like a shed so i cant be arsed to clean it! a £10 "mini valet" every few weeks to keep the worst off will do me.

i get the £10 handwash every other fortnight. is this not good enough should i be doing more?
though i do give the interior dashboard a wipe myself on top of the handwash when they clean the inside and outside.

i spent a sold 12 hours on a car
thats full clean of leather and carpets and included full paint correction, polish, glaze and wax. the paint was dead befor i got to it, it looked like some one had gone over it with a scotch pad.
if a car is detialed properly, washing and maintenance of it is straight forward.
