Just a perfect end to the day, for the record it was one the rare times I was doing 30 sodding miles per hour;

To cap it all, I had left work especially early (1803) to get to a wedding after party, the first of these were taken at 1807 :x

Looks eminently fixable, the zone abides brother.

See mine does that, have a quick blast and it just makes it all cool.
I hit a Ford Ka, damp roads and greasy too where works vehicles had been coming off a new estate that their building (was at temp traffic lights set up for the work site) I also mis-judged what the Ka was going to do so basically I just didn't stop in time.

Nah, worst bit is the bonnet, can't undo it so i'll have to unbolt it and the drivers side high beam doesn't work and is skewed off aim. All easily repairable just bloody annoying. worst bit is, I'm only 19 so can't afford to lose my NCB

So a bonnet (black rather than your non-std colour?), grilles, chin spoiler and a bit of hammer work and it'll be ok :)

How does the Ka look? Going to have to go through insurance for that?

Maybe your one of the sissies that needs quattro :? Sorry fella, you needed that like you need a hole in the head!

Seriously, its a bonet and a grill so a very easy fix.

A black bonnet may appeal, not one for the purists, but if your on a budget and don't have any estroil left over it could be an idea!

Did you manage to give the Ka driver some cash?

Well I won't put the pics up as obviously I dont have their permission, but just a pullable dent in the tailgate (thats what stoved the whole front in) and a big crease in the bumper. plus the boot will have creased. Might have to go through insurance but as I work at a ford specialist I will be asking at work tomorrow if I can do it. Yeah I'll be doing mine meself for sure.

I have a black bonnet you can have for free, It's not perfect but it is more than usable, Also got some grills if you want them.

defiantly looks fixable problem is I very much doubt the insurance company will see it that way, I’ve seen cars a lot newer and worth 4 times that of your average E30 get written off for having just a scratch in the paint work

This is what I love so much about the Zone. Really nice to see the community coming together and offering up bits to help a fellow Zoner out.

Nice work guys. :thumb:

And Joe, that's a lovely looking colour, and looks very tidy around the damage. Hope all is sorted soon.

Well thanks to everyone for excellent support :D , it was my first shunt and I managed to do it to the car I've wanted since I was 9 so I was a bit peed off over the past few days but its great to have some support through the zone. No worries of it being written off Pac1982 I'm sorting mine myself seeing as my excess is £400. defeats the point of fully comp insurance almost. Unfortunatly the Ka driver did not want to settle the affair off the books so they are claiming so I'll have to see how bad the premium hike will be :( I did a bit today, will throw a pic on in a little bit.

Ouch. I'm 20 and my insurance is £2700 a year for a 318i, because I have a claim for a barrier on my record. Without it my insurance drops down to £1500..

Might be a nasty shock, fingers crossed though.

I feel for you mate, but I had to smile when I saw the "quattro for sissies" sticker :D not that it would help in that situation I guess, just love it!

Many thanks for the help and AMAZINGLY generous generosity from from Marc, nice to have someone who knows E30's a bit more to give advice and help.

2700!! it's 1800 for me (including finance) at the moment. Little worried about the insurance really but I have a second car ('67 Singer Coupe) not that thats OTR mind so no help for a bit :( But one things for sure, the E30's staying in my name no matter what.

DHFis, only half your pic loads up for me, what happened?
